SPORTS WITH SERENA JAMERA WILLIAMS


Serena Jamera Williams
Serena Jamera Williams. She was born on September, 26, 1981. She Is an American professional tennis player currently ranked no 1 in women single tennis, born of African American heritage, she is the youngest of Oracene price five daughters. One of her half sister Yetunde died in 2003. Her other full sister Venus, is also a professional tennis player. Together with her sister Serena, they have stormed the world of women tennis. Both of them started playing tennis at a very tender age (Serena started at age 5) with their father William and their mother Oracene as their coach.
    At age 9, Serena father took her to attend the tennis academy of Rick Macci but he did not always agree with the coach and pulled his daughter out of the academy and from then on took over all coaching at their home.
In 2000, Serena was asked whether having to follow the normal path at playing regularly on the junior circuit would have benefits, she responded “everyone does different things, I think for Venus and I, we just tried a different road, and it worked for us”



Persistence

What you are doing and how you are doing it has a way of affecting the result you get out of it. You cannot do it the usual way and expect an unusual result. Serena and Venus Williams took an unusual route in their career and today they have an unusual result. You too can.
